         Mayor Wencesalo “Peewee” Trinidad, Shopping Center Mgt. Corp. president Annie S. Garcia, Shopping Center Mgt. Corporation assistant vice president Steven T. Tan and Mall manager Perkin O. So  released white doves during the celebration of Independence Day at the SM Mall of Asia along Macapagal Ave, Pasay City. Mayor Trinidad also witnessed the unfurling of the largest Philippine flag, measuring 18,818 sq.m and weighing 3.5 tons, at the MOA grounds. The unfurling of the flag was sponsored by ABS Gen Herbs International Corporation. It was first unveiled to the public in 2006 at a hillside in Aritao, Nueva Vizcaya.
