Calixto orders crackdown of drag racing on Macapagal Avenue

Pasay City Mayor Antonino Calixto has ordered intensified patrol of Pres. Diosdado Macapagal Avenue to finally put a stop to the illegal drag racing that has been going on despite the 60 kph speed limit imposed in the said highway by the MMDA. Calixto directed Pasay Traffic Chief Arturo Fortaleza to deploy additional motorcycle units in the eight-lane 5 kilometer highway particularly on early mornings of Saturday and Sunday mornings where illegal drag racing is reportedly being held. >>more

Aquino III to approve the resolution of the Metro Manila mayors adopting a uniform or single ticketing system for traffic violations in Metro Manila.
