CITY VICE MAYOR

	HON. MARLON A. PESEBRE CITY VICE MAYOR
	“BISENG-BUSY PARA SA INYO” Vice Mayor Pesebre was born on September 29, 1971, third child of Engracio A. Pesebre and Remedios B. Atienza-Pesebre, who are residents of Almazor St., CAA Compound Brgy. 185, Pasay. He is married to Armela Alana-Pesebre, with whom he has four children. At present, his family resides in Sun Valley, NAIA, Pasay. The Vice Mayor is an alumnus and consistent honor student of Malate Catholic School from Elementary through High School. He then took up his AB Political Science course at the University of the East, Recto Campus. Subsequently, he studied Law for two years only at the San Beda College.
The Vice Mayor pursued entrepreneurship and became successful as a self-employed, prior to deciding to enter the world of politics. He was first elected as Councilor in 2001. He was likewise elected by his fellow councilors to serve as Chairman of the Committee on Amusement, while serving as member in other various committees. Due to the exemplary public service shown to his constituents, he was re-elected in 2004, and a topnotcher at that, as a second-term Councilor. He was elected by his peers as Minority Floor Leader. While at this post, he continued to manifest sterling performance to his constituents. Vice Mayor Pesebre then was one of the four gallant councilors retained in position by the Ombudsman last 2006 when the latter suspended almost all elected Pasay City officials found guilty of graft and corruption. The suspension actually led to the dismissal of said officials. At this time, then Councilor Pesebre was elected as Majority Floor Leader. In the 2007 elections, he came out again as topnotcher among the elected councilors, clearly a sign of the voters’ love for, and full trust in him, something our Vice Mayor continues to value and hold in great esteem. In all of these three terms as Councilor, he has been always been among the officials of the Philippine Councilors’ League. In his desire to give genuine service to all his constituents, he launched various projects that he knew would be most beneficial to the people, among which are: 1. GAMIT PAHIRAM…Anumang Okasyon Gamit ang Sagot Ko. For any occasion, free lending and use of chairs, tables, and knock-down tents; 2. SAKAY DAMAYAN TULONG SA MAMAYAN. First of its kind in Pasay City since 2001 was the free use of rented public transport for Pasay constituents wanting to attend a funeral wake/service. 3. PALAKASAN KONTRA DROGA. Yearly sportsfests for the Youth as a way of enabling them to avoid and veer away from drugs and at the same time, molding their moral and spiritual development, and in so doing, become more active participants in government projects for the betterment of their respective barangays. 4. DAGDAG KAALAMAN SA PANGKABUHAYAN. Livelihood projects intended to help uplift the quality of life of all constituents, more especially the womenfolk and out-of-school youth. 5. KALUSUGAN AY KAYAMAN KATAWAN PANGALAGAAN. Feeding programs that desire to help barangay folks prevent malnutrition and teach parents in the proper care of their children. 6. OPLAN TRABAHO. This project aims at helping professionals, skilled workers and out-of-school youth seek gainful employment through interacting with government agencies and even private firms within and outside Pasay City. 7. COUNCILOR MARLON A. PESEBRE STUDENTS’ ASSISTANCE PROGRAM. Scholarship grants for the poor and deserving high school students enrolled in public schools in Pasay. The program started in 2001 and continues to date. At present, it has had 90 grantees benefiting from this program. As part of its requirement, scholars should have no grade lower than 80% per grading period. 8. PAGSAPIT NG PASKO LAGING KABAHAGI KAYO. This is a yearly project whose aim is to bring cheer to the parents and children in the form of donating used clothes and toys to people residing in depressed barangay areas in the city. This project is now on its 8th year of implementation. 9. LIBRENG TUBIG PARA SA MAMAMAYAN NG PASAY. This project was launched to share free and clean water that can be used by the Pasay residents. The water supply is directly sourced from the MWSS pumping station and is paid for personally by then Councilor Pesebre. 10. PAMAMAHAGI NG MGA SUMUSUNOD SA IBA’T-IBANG BARANGAY a. Jetmatic Manual Water Pump b. Sports materials such as basketballs, volleyballs, chessboards, dartboards and darts, trophies and medals c. Mountain bikes being used by barangay tanods in the course of their barangay patrols d. Vest and t-shirt for the Tanods e. T-shirt for the tricycle and pedicab drivers f. Monoblock tables and chairs g. Financial and medical assistance for citizens in need of them h. Nebulizers, airconditioners, wheelchairs, Blood pressure apparatus, etc. Then Councilor Pesebre has also authored various ordinances and resolutions, one of which was the granting of privilege to Senior Citizens in Pasay to watch movies for free in any Pasay cinema every Monday, Tuesday and during the first screening of the film every Thursday. And above all, as proof of genuine service to Pasay residents, eight Lingap Kalusugan Health Clinics were opened in the following locations to give free medical and dental services to Pasay residents: 1. LINGAP KALUSUGAN HEALTH CLINIC 2 Park Avenue, Brgy. 88, Zone 9, Pasay City Free medical consultation and dental services 3. LINGAP KALUSUGAN HEALTH CLINIC 3 San Juan Street, Brgy. 21, Zone 3, F.B. Harrison, Pasay City Free medical consultation and dental services 4. LINGAP KALUSUGAN HEALTH CENTER CLINIC 4 Sr. Citizen’s Multi Purpose Hall Barangay 201, Zone 20 Kalayaan, Pasay City Free dental services 5. LINGAP KALUSUGAN HEALTH CLINIC 5 Barangay 48, Zone 6, Pasay City Free medical and dental services 6. LINGAP KALUSUGAN HEALTH CLINIC 6 Brgy. 134, Zone 13, M. Dela Cruz, Pasay City Free dental services 7. LINGAP KALUSUGAN HEALTH CLINIC 7 Brgy. 181, Zone 19 Free dental services 8. LINGAP KALUSUGAN HEALTH CLINIC 8 Brgy. 60, Zone 7, Tramo St. Pasay City Free dental services Although his three terms as Councilor are now finally over, his obsessive desire remains ever on fire, not only to continue the projects he has already launched, but to still give more intensive and extensive services to Pasay residents, then Councilor Pesebre decided to raise his sights and run for Vice Mayor in the recent May 2010 elections…and handily won by a landslide. Is there then by any chance, anybody among the Local Government Units (LGUs) rendering this kind and magnitude of public service? Vice Mayor Marlon A. Pesebre presumably is the only one that has this kind and magnitude of public service. And this is no mere figment of one’s imagination as his beneficiaries can always attest to the fact that this is very true indeed! BISENG-BUSY PARA SA INYO!!!

NOTICE TO PASAY CITY TAXPAYERS

The City Treasurer shall hold an auction sale of all real prosperities with delinquent tax payments on land, buildings and machineries at 10:00 A.M., on September 15, 2011, at the fourth floor, session hall of the Pasay City Hall.

The corresponding notices of delinquency have been received and/or mailed to the concerned delinquent taxpayers, and where accordingly posted to the bulletin boards of the City Hall and to the barangays where the delinquent properties are located
